Welcome to the website of Wood Green Old Boys Football Club.
We are a friendly, community football club based in Wood Green in North London.
We are always looking for new members - you can contact the club via the links on the left to find out about how to join us.
Wood Green Old Boys F.C. was formed in 1962, and we currently have 4 senior teams playing in the Amateur Football Combination, the largest football league in Europe. We also run an over 35s' team and have 5 youth teams ranging from under 8s to under 18s - see www.woodgreenyouthfc.co.uk for more details.
We are enjoying an exciting period in our history, with our club having just been awarded Charter Standard Status by the English Football Association. This is the benchmark for quality in football at grassroots level.
In addition, we have our own clubhouse and organise regular social events for the enjoyment of all our members. The costs associated with playing for our club are amongst the lowest you will find for amateur football in London
We are always looking for new players to join our club and contribute to our ongoing success both on and off the field.
Enjoy your football at a club committed to supporting the best game in the world !
Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
Get ready for the new season - win a load of balls for your team!
